Merry Christmas!

What happens when you take a peek at your presents before Christmas morning?

After taking some time off writing due to some major life changes, I wrote a short story that will be published by Havok Publishing today (Christmas day)! You can read Greedy Little Goobers by going to gohavok.com. The story is available to read for free, but will only be available on December 25, 2024. After that, you will only be able to access it with a Havok membership, which is $5 for the year.

As for Gifted, here are some quick updates on the status of the project:

• No, the book has not been published yet. You haven’t missed anything!

• Yes, I am still planning on publishing the book as well as the rest of the series.

• It is still in the final stages of editing. I do not have an update yet on the new launch period. While I am getting ready to finish the edits, I still have some hoops to jump through. My faithful Mac I’ve been using since college finally died on me this year, and I don’t have Microsoft Office on my new computer yet. Microsoft Online doesn’t have all the functionality that I need to finish my edits, so until there’s room in my budget to download Microsoft Office, I’m stuck.

• If you were signed up to be on the launch team, I’ll send out an update email once I have a true launch period in mind. A lot of time has passed since I originally thought I was close to launching, so if you are no longer able or willing to be on the launch team, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I will also most likely be moving over to another host website next June as the current one I’m using is not very affordable and I have not gotten a lot of use of it. I’m still researching, but if I end up switching, the website will look completely different next year, and may be down for a bit while I redesign everything.
